The Lum Family Legacy
In October 1976, 21-year-old Randy Lum had a vision: to build an automotive business that treated customers like family. Starting with a small shop in Poteau, Oklahoma, Randy worked tirelessly to establish a reputation for quality and integrity.
Nearly five decades later, that vision has grown into one of the region's most trusted automotive equipment dealerships. Now a multi-generational business, the Lum family continues to operate by the same simple principle that started it all.

Our Journey
From a small auto shop to a regional equipment leader.
Lum's Auto Service Founded
Randy Lum, at just 21 years old, opens Lum's Auto Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Starting with a modest 2,250 square-foot, 4-bay shop, Randy begins building a reputation for honest, quality automotive service.
Years of Growth
Over 18.5 years, the business expands twice, growing to 10,650 square feet with 16 service bays. The shop becomes known throughout the region for reliability and excellent customer service.
A New Direction
After nearly two decades of hands-on automotive work, Randy sells the service shop and pivots the business to equipment sales, renaming it Lum's Sales & Service. His wife Mia eventually insists he build proper offices after working from their home kitchen and pool table area!
Major Expansion
The company relocates to an impressive 18,000 square-foot facility in Shady Point, Oklahoma. A secondary office opens in Little Rock, Arkansas, expanding the service area significantly.
Multi-Generational Business
Now a multi-generational family business, Lum's Sales & Service represents multiple leading manufacturers and serves customers across a four-state region. The same values of trust, honor, and integrity that Randy established continue to guide every interaction.
